I forgot to refrigerate last years box of pollen patties. They have been sitting in a draw at room temperature since about last March. They look and smell fine. Would you guys use them? Thanks

Commercially prepared patties do not spoil. I have used a box from Dadant that was over 5 years old and several of the ML patties I used this winter were from last year. None had been refrigerated. As long as they are not fermented or moldy, you will be fine feeding them. Besides, if they were bad, the bees would not eat them.

I would freeze any new ones for a couple of days to kill any SHB eggs that sometimes comes with them.
