It warmed up a little today so I took the opportunity to peek inside thehives today. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bees have plenty of reserves to make it through the winter. I have a question about one of the hives though-

All winter as the dead bees have collected outside this one hive I have seen what looks like clumps of pollen- sometimes on the wings, sometimes on legs, sometimes on bodies. Not on all of them- just some. Then today when I was looking in on them I saw more of the bees inside with the same stuff clinging to them. I am pretty sure they are not bringing pollen in from the outside in the middle of January. Any idea what this is and if I should be worried? Thanks!
