Checked today as we saw temps in the low 50s and I watched a few bees bringing in pollen. A few days ago under similar conditions we had nothing. Good sight to see, truly can't wait for spring.

Sorry the pics aren't amazing, quickly snapped a few with my phone.

I spotted some pussy willows yesterday for the first time this year. A bit late but quite exciting just the same. BTW that was in the Groton area by work, my hives are a little north and I haven't seen any yet here. :(
Good to hear, my one hive is barely hanging on with a pollen patty & some homemade fondant.

Welcome to the forum wildbillc...

I visited most of my hives today and also saw a little pollen coming in. Not much, but it's a start. 4 hives on the shoreline were especially active.
willbillc where are you in Clinton? I'm on the southern end of Cow Hill Rd.

BeeCurious how many hives are you up to now?

Glad to see it. If my eyesight is not fooling me, one of the two bees looks like they were rolling in pollen. A few of my bees looked like they were taking a pollen bath. :)
I am on Vienna lane, off Old Orchard...just a mile or two north as the bee flies.
I'm in Enfield, nothing here yet as far as I could tell. However, your pics are exciting and promising. Thanks for sharing.

Guess I'm not the only one keeping that Vineyard going. I hadn't seen any hives in Clinton yet but I figured there were a few around. Interested to know how many of us there are and where those drones and queens are off to.

CT Bee registry has not been updated yet, but lists 3 beekeepers and 4 hives from the previous year.
My bees here in Rowayton were pouring in today with bright yellow pollen. I have one pussy willow bush thats loaded with pollen but didn't see any bees on it.

I have 14 colonies after losing a few.
