Have or are making brood. They need pollen to grow bees. One frame of pollen and one frame of honey are necassary to grow one frame of brood. More or less.

ON a warm day about two weeks ago mine were bring in pollen. It was warm enough that i checked them. They had two spots of sealed brood about the size of a mans hand on each hive. :thumbsup:

Then I guess all 17 made it. Lost 3 during the record cold spell here last month. But today all 17 remaining hives were bringing in pollen. Don't want to open them up yet, well I REALLY want too but won't. Been feeding light syrup and pollen patties in the deep above the inner cover. Some are taking quite a bit others barely touch it. But with this warm spell today they are all out in force. Man have I missed that sight!!:):):)
Just saw some pollen on a couple of Bees in the Observation Hive!! YEEHaa!!
