3 small, quiet building hives turned into major activity, like I have never seen from them, in a couple minutes.
They were hovering within 3 feet of entrance.
Just your grocery store potted herb plants.
Lemon grass is on order.

Just curious,,,,what kind of activity??? My first thought was the bees are confused about the different hive entrance smell. Don't know though:scratch:

Hovering facing the entrance, many of them, for such a small hive.
About 3 foot radius from entrance.
Plants are right alongside hives.

I need to see what behavior is displayed tomorrow.

It sounds like they were just re-orienting to the new features around the entrance.

Yes, sort of circular hover.
Definite response to a couple small herb plants, though.
Plants were on side of hive, not near front.
