No pools or other water sources that I know of close by, nice birdbath with stone in it five feet from hives, yet no bees.

I am feeding them syrup so I wonder if they are getting a lot of their water from that?

check the gutters of your house....they love that...particularly if they a dirty

I'll try adding some stuff and moving it out a bit.

I don't suppose it really matters. They're obviously getting their water somewhere:scratch:

I leave water trickling down the asphalt driveway and usually have 15-20 bees visiting.It has turned into a problem because now I have to leave that water on all the time.It looks to me like there are water girls because you can watch them fly back and forth to the hives.

Put a couple of drops of lemongrass oil in the bird bath. They'll start hitting it pretty quick...
