This is really cool. There's a peregrine falcon nesting in a nestbox on some building in philadelphia. And they have a live webcam set up next to the nest! Right now there's one nestling and 4 unhatched eggs.
Thanks for the notice about that live birdcam,..caswell. I find it somewhat difficult to locate the really good cams on the internet.
Here is one I like, but unfortunately, it's not in English. The Steenuil [small owl like our Screech owl] nest is interesting and somewhat funny because a Pigeon [or Rock Dove] is trying to nest in the same site that is like a duplex. The owl is in Cam #1, while the pigeon is close to the lens of Cam #2. Cam 2 shows the entryway for both nests. I don't know if the male owl has abandoned the nest or not. The female has gone out at night. I don't have time to watch a lot. Need Adobe Flash Player 10.
>> http://www.beleefdelente.nl/steenuil There are other nestcams at that site.
It will be interesting to see how this works out-- . I can think of some funny things to say about this situation and getting along with the,. "neighbors". .
