I installed a package 11 days ago (mid April) on 8 frames of drawn comb with resources and have no larva or capped brood. Note: I used a push in cage & released the queen 4 days later.

Is it possible the queen became chilled or damaged in the push in cage or do I have an unmated queen? (The evenings were in the 40's)

Welcome!

It's possible that you do have a non-laying queen. However, I'd wait another few days or a week. Sometimes it just takes the queen a while longer to get going.

I've had mixed results with queens in packages. She should have been laying before being caged. I'd wait a few more days, if things don't change I'd contact the source.

**Update**. Checked the colony 5 days later and found capped brood & larva (plus a capped queen cell which I removed).
Good advice guys, thanks.
