Hey guys I inserted a couple packages this past weekend. One of them last night was acting funny, I went up at near dusk and there was a cluster of im guessing 500 bees on the back of the hive. I raked them n a box and put them back into the hive, but this evening I went back to have a look and they still are clustering on the back of the hive just under the telescoping cover. Why are they doing this, it has me concerned?

Thanks

I've read about people having a loose queen in their package of bees. Maybe that's what you have. A free one and one in a cage.

...or a virgin. I'd put the cluster in another box and check for queens all around
