I did a search to find a simple build at home version of the oxalic pipe vaporizer, but all the links no longer work. Has it become against the law to build one for emergencey use? I want to order the JB200 but until I have the funds avaiable will need to do something else. Anyone have a good link to one I can build and use for this fall before it gets to cold. I'm worried that by the time I can get the JB200 it will be to cold around here. I believe it must be used above freezing?

Thanks George, his site has lots of info, but this is one of the first statements "I've eliminated all information concerning the do it yourself oxalic evaporator."
So I'm still in the same place needing an emergency crack pipe but can no longer find the information I need.

ibeeme - if you search the forum back a couple of years I am sure you will find what you need. There were some detailed discussions and descriptions back then. basically it is copper pipe and a propane torch.

p.s. I am not aware of any requirement that the JB be used above freezing. If you can scrape up the dough that is the best way to go.

You see the pipe on his site. Basically you just put the oxalic in it and heat it. Try a search on oxalic acid and you'll find many discussions on the subject.

Just a few of the results from a search on Disease and Pests for Oxalic Acid

I built a couple of the pipes two years ago, but I found the drizzle technique is easier and faster.

With the pipes, it's hard to know when all the oxalic has evaporated.
