Has anyone used the OTS (notching) queen rearing method with narrow 1.25 inch frames? It looks like a simple way to get nice queens, but I am wondering if they will have enough room with narrow foundationless frames to build out the queen cells?

As long as you have correct bee space in hives, OTS will work on any frame Jason especially foundationless. Just find the correct
age larva and notch done to the midrib on the cells, like Mel says.

My frames are shaved and I notch and it is just not a problem as long as you pull an outside frame always and the pull the frame toward the outside until lifting up.
