I got looking in my freezer and found some old pollen that I had no clue was there.I amnot sure how long it has been the maybe 3 to 5 years it is kinda dryed out and looks different.Would this be ok to make patties from or is the no food value after time or something that could harm my bees.thanks Bob

I doubt the bees would use it away,For this time of year they should be bring in fresh pollen,Also if you are not sure where it come from I'd be afraid to use it.

OK,Being you know the source then there won't be a problem,I've been told you are better off with fresh pollen,But I've used it both ways & couldn't tell any diff-.
So if I was you & had it. I would surely use it.
