Both my hives were up and running in March. One hive had a much smaller cluster (on top) than the other one. I noticed over the weekend that one hive had no activity, so I went in. Hundreds if not thousands of dead bee’s. The bees were piled high on the IPM, some just stuck to frames, just all over the place. I still have at least 6-8 frames of honey in the deeps.
My question is, I was thinking of freezing the frames of honey for later use. However, not knowing why/how the bee’s died makes me think if keeping those honey frames is good idea. I doubt if the honey is bad/contaminated…etc, but you just don’t know.
