I have some vegetable oil that is starting to go rancid. Has anyone had issue with using rancid oil in making pollen patties?

No not necessarily. Just as a general curiosity. I have done internet searches on the subject and haven't found anything really on it. I don't have an issue get a new bottle, but if there is no harmful effects then why not use what I got.

By that logic then why not go ahead and cook your own food with it? After all, you may as well use what you've got.

Maybe the reason you aren't finding anything on it is because most people throw away oil that goes rancid.

Your right on both counts. Like I said it's just starting to go rancid so I did use it in some cooking applications until I got some new oil. Bees do a lot of things that would make use sick or at the very least would not be healthy for us humans.
