If I want to add the nurse bees from my finisher to the starter should I just put them in the top with the grafts or send them in the front door? If I am to send them in the front should this include the bees clinging to the graft?

I just had a stater/finisher mishap where the starter started but the finisher failed. I think it was because all my open brood was below the excluder and the RN's didn't come up.. Thoughts anyone?

Thanks

I try to have a frame of open brood facing the grafts on each side in a starter/finisher. The nurse bees are already there and are attracted to that brood if nothing else. And they turn around and see queen cells...

Thanks.. As soon as the weather allows I'll start again and put some open brood above the excluder.. I think I knew to do it that way but with fall and winter I forgot. I should have read over my info and not relied on my memory. I get into more trouble that way.
