This year I started making up overwintered nucs. I started the brood factories in the beginning of May.

After harvesting brood from one nuc it declined fast I added some uncapped brood and bees and it seemed to be doing ok. I did replace the queen last week due to poor laying pattern of the original queen.

When I did inspections yesterday I found one nuc (started on 6/12) which I likely harvested brood from the declining brood factory was having similar problems and was queenless. This nuc was doing very well 2 weeks ago.

Both hives had a redish orange hive trash on the bottom board.

Mite count was 7 on the sugar roll, so I'm going to treat with Apiguard.

I'm going to check for nosema this week.

Am I missing something?
