Hi
two 4H boys keep their hive at my place their first year with bees. I mentor them the best I can. the hive was opened and the medium super was full of honey but not one cell was capped. I know its a moisture problem with the honey ,but not one cell capped, there is white wax marking all over the top bar of super , I was told by a beekeeper once that is a sign that they need another super, is that true? I would hate for them to put on another super and the bees use the honey in the first super to build the foundationin the second super, and won't have any honey for display on their project , which is july 21th. If left with the one super what is their chances of the bees capping the first medium, And the hive they have is quite strong will have to watch for swarming I think if another super isn't added soon. OH WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE!!!!!!!!! Help!!!!!!!!!\
