no eggs

This is my first spring beekeeping. I did a inspection today an found 2 of my hives have large populations of bees but only a few capped drone cells. Well there are maybe a 80 or so a few queens cups. I took a frame of eggs from my other hives and put in those 2 hives. Can they raise a queen from those eggs? Is there something else I should do? My other hives are laying strongly and I can continue to help keep these 2 hives going until they make a queen.

yes they should beable to create their own queen if you put eggs in there, they'll even create one with the begining stage larve. but even if you put the eggs in there there is no garantee that they will create a new queen since the original queen is still alive.
