Just inspected our hive and found there is no brood or eggs in the lower deep, just uncapped honey and some pollen .
Also the bees haven't touched the medium supper I put on 2 weeks ago. I did see eggs and larva in the second deep. I didn't see any queen cells

Did I loose my queen or could it be that I removed the feeder too early and the flow is low?

From 07/17/10 bee log.
Wife & I inspected upper brood box. Cell foundation was build to 9th frame.
Spotted queen on 7th frame in upper brood box
Added queen excluder and Medium super and inner cover.
Removed Feeder

Package was installed on 5/22

Thanks,
Dave

Beginner here. This is what I have too and I installed my package about the same time.

Bottom is 65-70% drawn and mostly pollen and nectar storage. It's not a heavy box. The upper brood box is 80% drawn with about half of it very dense with brood and honey arc'd over the brood. It's a much heavier box. Last time I saw the queen she was dead center in the top box. I haven't added a super yet. Seems like they have more work to do so I'm going to keep feeding.

I assume this is normal and they'll move down when they have no more room for brood in the upper deep.

Hmmmm: been thinking... maybe the brood that was originally in the lower chamber hatched and the basement is now vacant until they run out of space where she's laying in the upper box?

I was just coming to post something similar. Little/no brood in the bottom deep, but a good amount in the top. The bottom is stuffed with pollen and honey, so I guess we're okay. I may start feeding if they don't draw the foundation asap. I thought with all the goldenrod starting to bloom they'd be going nuts, but it doesn't look like it.
