I've been taking the whole grid away to let the queen out. There aren't any larvae at that stage of course - but hopefully will be in 3 days time.
But - when you come to check - if you should find that there aren't any larvae and all the eggs are missing (it does happen to some people) - see a thread I started about a workaround for this:https://www.beesource.com/forums/showthread.php?356261-Nicot-Laying-Cage-complete-success But with good fortune this won't apply to you.
