I am considering combining a small swarm(softball size) in an 8 frame deep with a larger swarm in a 10 frame deep. If I do this I would just put the newspaper down on top of the 10 frame, place the 8 frame deep on top and should I place a small board over the gap(duct tape it down) and check back when the newspaper is eaten. Then I would just remove the 8 frame hive body and put the eight frames into a 10 frame deep(adding the additional 2 frames? Thanks, Halley
