hi all my tbh has been up and running for three weeks now everything seems fine bees seem very busy bringing in pollen tried them with a little sugar water but there not intrested i bought a 5 bar nuc with a queen and fitted them in my tbh i done a inspection yesterday and they had built three and a half combs the queen was on the eighth comb in the last full comb they built the seventh is comb with nothing in (when i say nothing i didnt have my glasses on so i couldnt see if there were any eggs i will betake them next inspection ) the sixth bar has a lot of worker brood capped and a few drone capped combs 2 to 5 are mainly capped worker brood and little capped drone comb 1 is comb that brood has hatched from so is nearly empty my question are
there seems like very little honey the odd bar has a small amount at the top is this normal if so when will they build honey comb for there winter supplies

should the queen move back to the front of the hive and start laying in the older comb again and then the workers carry on to the back of the hive building honey comb?
there is a divider board at bar 11 leaving one and a half bars to build on when should i move it to give more bars i also put two bars with nothing on inbetween
the fisrt three bars (i think thats what you do ) which leaves the divider at bar 13 (if that makes scense )
hope all this makes scense

1. You mentioned that the bees aren't interested in syrup. They might simply have enough nectar coming in. Or maybe they don't like your feeder. I've had more success with some types than others.
2. If you have trouble seeing eggs, try taking a digital photo and then enlarging it on your computer.
3. Last year, I had a nuc that didn't put any honey away until the fall flow. From what I hear, this is common with new colonies. They're busy building up, so they're not putting any reserves away.
4. As brood emerges, the queen will go back to the newly vacated cells and lay in them again.
5. Not sure I understand what the configuration of your hive is currently. However, when you add bars, add empty bars between 2 drawn combs. You should add bars between the last two drawn combs at the edges of your nest (or between the nest/honey barrier, but you don't have a honey barrier right now.)
