We've had our hive for 3 weeks. We did our 3rd inspection yesterday; they've begun drawing comb in the super we added last week and there was lots of capped and some open brood in the bottom. We saw the queen, she was on the outermost frame, which I think was mostly open cells. There was a good bit of burr comb on the bottom of some of the frames and some good sized chunks on the side wall, which we removed.
Some of the come in the center frames was a little uneven but i think it looked okay. Can someone post a picture of a queen cup &/or cell or direct me to where i can get a good look at one? It took us so long to find the queen as she was on the last frame, I was beginning to get a little nervous that she was gone so I just want to know what the signs are that there may be a problem.
TIA!
