for a week inside. Daily, add a drop of honey or water to the screen. Keep them in a dark place. Hopefully, the queen has a few attendants in there with her. If you have a queenless hive that you can just slip them in the top for the workers to feed for you, they are much happier than in your house.
I would add that if you have to keep her banked for a while, make sure you use honey that you know is safe/free from disease. Sugar water is safer. Make sure the container is adequately ventilated. I put mine in a nuc box between a couple frames of foundation. J
