Hi everyone.
My name is Chris and I'm brand new to the hobby.
My equipment has been delivered and is currently being assembled.
I'm reading all that I can here and several of the popular books.
I'm hoping to find a nuc or package this year.
I'd also love to find a mentor that can help me get into this with a little confidence.

Welcome, Im about 30-40 miles west of you, this site is full of very valuable insight. Im just in my second year so Im learning as I go. I have gotten alot of good advice from these pages. As far as a nuc, I will keep my eyes open, I think I know one man who may still have some. If he does I will pm you. Good Luck. G

Born and raised in Richmond! My stock broker keeps bees in the 'burbs down there.

Have you hooked up with any local groups in the Virginia Beekeeper's Association? We're in the PWRBA in Northern Virginia, but Richmond has several affiliates. This is a great way to get a mentor, find classes, and attend events such as open hive days.
