Picking up some new bee's in a week and I have the option to use some drawn out comb or cleaned out frames with no wax. Curious, in this case do you use drawn out comb so the queen can get a quicker start on laying or do you clean out the frames and let the bee's build new comb to get rid of any potential chemicals that could have built up in the old wax?

If the drawn wax was from your hives, I would use them. It really gives a package a productivity boost. If you got the drawn frames through some other source, I would start with new foundation.

If you buy packages from the early shipments in our part of the world, local sellers wont even give them to you without drawn comb to hive them on.
