I am new to this and was preparing my hive for a potential swarm in a swarm trap. I set up the hive body with five frames and a feeder frame with a medium body on top with all ten frames. I planned to take the frames out of the trap and put them right in to the hive body. When I came home from work on Monday the hive was covered with bees and pretty clear it was a swarm. I have since moved the hive to its final placement and when I checked it yesterday, it was full of bees but all were in the top box(medium). I checked the frames and they are drawing comb on the medium frames. My question is, will the bees work down to the main hive body or should I change the the medium to the bottom so they can move up? Swarms always start in the top box, they'll work down.
