I am located in a rural area that represents boundary between river bluff and old swamp and prairie. I have kept bees or been associated with them for about 35 years. Primary concerns are adjusting to local nectar and pollen sources to develop proper management plan for colonies. Limited plant community management possible with primary emphasis to be on developing fruit crops based on native species. Not all the species of interest benefit bees but may be of importance to other agriculture interests.
