Welcome! I'm in NC but my bees came from Georgia this spring. How are yours doing?

Both hives really took off with the main nectar flow, but recently the slightly weaker colony had become queenless. I suspect I may have accidentally killed the queen during an inspection, but who really knows. I let the bees make a new queen, and she laid about two frames out, then disappeared. Luckily I had two nucleus hives I had started from the stronger hive as an experiment. Both of these are booming, so yesterday I combined the queenless hive with a small nucleus hive using the newspaper method. All this is new to me and I am sorta learning as I go, but that is what is making it so much fun. This site is a great resource and I am happy to finally be a registered member. How are your Georgia bees doing up in NC, and who did you get them from?
