My hives are a little over an hour from my house. On the way down it started raining and is predicted to stop about an hour and a half before sundown.

Is it ok to work with them? I have a new nuc that *really* needs to be put in a hive box.

It is absolutely fine to work them in the rain. I worked mine in the rain all of this past weekend. They will not think highly of you. Wear your gear. They are often pissy in the rain.

Amen psm... you gotta.qork.em when you can, not when the weather is best. Sometimes. They do get I'll at times, but you gotta get it done, or else Repercussions happen.

I got the work on the nuc transfer done, and they didn't object.

Then I decided to check another hive. They promptly told me to piss off.

I did.

Thanks for the answers!

Portable beach umbrella over the work area works fine, IF really needed and no strong wind.
