Last year I drilled two 3/4 or 1 inch holes in some plastic frames to see if the bees would use them or if they would draw comb over them.
They drew comb over about half of the holes. Some frames they drew comb over both holes, and some frames they drew comb around the holes. I could not find a rhyme or reason as to what determined if they drew comb over a hole or not.
