I am working through a backlog of old frames melting them down to rehab them. I came across a couple that as soon as they melted they left this NASTY black goo behind. Im not talking normal slum gum, Im talking pitch black nasty black goo.
I had a friend run across I think some of this same stuff in processing some old frames also.
Any idea what this is? Was there an old tar like something that the old timmers used to coat foundation with or something?
