A friend called me this evening, told me someone was selling 'naked honey' along with some other varieties. He asked what was 'naked honey'.

Well, I was stumped. Did some searching, and I have some guesses, but I'd rather have a more solid answer. My thinking is that it's basically raw, unfiltered, unheated honey.

I even searched this forum, and my oh my what some of you have written over the years using the word 'naked'! But seriously, does anyone have a more specific definition of this term?

TIA

It's like most catchy works. Like RAW, Organic, or Naked. It just makes it sounds GOOOD. A little sexy too. I would buy naked honey without knowing what it means. Maybe I should start producing "Naked Honey" too. Well maybe I already do.
