And also the earliest on record for me (3/16/23). Days had been relatively cool with highs in the low 50’s. Yesterday was sunny and close to 70. I walked out to the yard around 1:30. I noticed a lot of bees flying from all hives. Then one hive cut loose. Incidentally the hive that swarmed was my first hive swarm of 2022. Gotta love genetics!

WOOHOO!! I am just a little north of ya so it will not be long for me either.

Nice big prime swarm, good catch.

Nothing better than standing in the middle of a big swarm, just mesmerizing to me. Makes me feel like I am flying with them sometimes.

That’s a biggun! I’m heading out right now to put more swarm traps out. I love your step ladder thingy. How tall is it and can it be reconfigured?

I bought my stand off Amazon. Makes sitting boxes on uneven ground much easier.

Thank you @Litsinger and @Spur9. It looks like a very useful piece of swarm-acquiring equipment. I like that it’s adaptable to uneven ground which always seems to be the case 🙄
