Do bees sometimes collect nectar and pollen at the same time? The reason I ask is that I have noticed bees lately in some of the sources better-known for being nectar sources, and those bees are also carrying pollen. Sorry to ask what may be a dumb question, but I was just wondering.

Makes perfect sense to me, but I've always read that some bees collect nectar and some collect pollen, and never the twain shall meet (well, I didn't really read that last little bit). Thanks for the info. Thought my bees may have been getting a little daffy.

I eat the pollen pellets and they're always sweet so they must use some nectar when packing the nectar on their legs....
