A question for all:
Who are the most Northerly (Canadian border states or Alaska) long-standing (like 20 years or more) non-migratory queen breeders in the US? How many are out there and still doing it?

Mike Palmer and I were talking about it today and we really couldn’t think of many.

There are sellers of queens, and plenty of people who migrate to warmer climates for winter, come North to make honey and open mate queens for sale, which is cool - but we’re looking for people who are stationary; wintering and selecting from bees who live in North.

Any names come to mind?

Thanks,
Adam

Not in the us, but Liz and Terry at Kettle Valley Queens in Grand Forks have been doing it for 30+ years. Rod and Jo Moody in Duncan on Vancouver Island have been breeding for 30 years or more. There are more but these are the first two that come to my mind in bc that breed and raise the queens, and are not just reselling southern supply.
