Well we lost both of our first year hives this winter. I guess they werent strong enough. Anyway, one of the hives is nice and clean, has honey in the frames. The other one is covered with mold on the inside. Can we reuse the frames? Should we try to clean the mold off with something, if so, what should we use?

Thanks

I've done it different ways. Not sure it really matters, because the bees seem to accept it equally. I will sometimes use a spray bottle with a dilute solution of bleach to spray the frames. Let it soak for a while (not in direct sun) and then flush with plenty of fresh water. Shake the water out of the frames and place rinsed frame in the sun to dry out.
