What can I do with several of my capped honey frames that has mold on the outside? (Water came into box during rain).

What can I do with several of my capped honey frames that has mold on the outside? (Water came into box during rain).
First off, fix the issue of the rain getting in, we've definitely gotten a lot of it this year. Lots of people in the SC mountains line their seams with painters tape to keep out rain/drafts.

Second, make sure you don't have too many boxes on the hive to where the bees can't manage all the space. This can lead to mold regardless of rain getting in as condensation will form in unused sections of the hive.

Third, you can leave the frames for the bees to clean up. If they are on the outside, move them to the inside directly above the brood nest and the bees should clean it up.

It looks like some nice weather ahead so everything will have a chance to finally dry out as well.
