Another record day of heat in Florida... does anyone know having a syrup feeder on during the day, in sunlight, that the syrup will get hot enough to harm the bees? Or do they not care?

i would say over 100 deg. but why are you feed them? your in Florida there should be enough nectar flowing to help them out or are you feeding a package to get them to draw out the comb.

It's a glass top-feeder, so I started thinking about that syrup cooking in the glass jar, and wondered whether the girls would leave it alone if it got too hot or would they scorch themselves!!
