The instructions say to remove entrance reducers but if I don't close the SBB and leave in the reducers in will the treatment still be effective?

The SBB will improve ventilation and reduce the amount of vapor that the bees are exposed to. The question is by how much? I would not use a half dose treatment. I think you will be ok using a full dose - check with NOD the manufacturer for more information. I have some concerns (more mental reservations as I don't use SBB) about how the screening in a SBB will respond to acid exposure.

The metal screen will start to oxidize almost right away, I would pull the SBB or at least cover it over with cardboard/coroplast/etc.

I ordered MAQs a few months ago..ordered way too many. Expiration date is 9/14. Do you think they would be effective next spring or should I just give them away...do not want them to go to waste.. Beekeeping mtg is this weekend so I could probably give away there..Thanks
