what do you put in a 5 frame nuc when making one up to sell ? also, how about a 10 frame hive? ie: 1 frame pollen
1 frame honey
1 frame capped brood
1 frame larvae
1 frame eggs
or 1 empty drawn frame ????

One thing very important is to have more than enough bee coverage for the quantity of brood. One frame of brood is all you need with three or four frames of bees. Plus some feed and comb. Oh & the mama bee.
this was to sell instantly...........
I like 1 frame honey,2 frames capped brood, 1 frame open brood, and 1 frame foundation. Queen and bees to cover 4 frames.

As capped brood hatches it gives queen place to lay and boosts young bee numbers quickly.

You sell what the customer wants and charge them accordingly. The problem with selling them immediately is the queen isn't released and used to the workers. That can cause problems if you make the nuc, install the queen, and ship them off right away. The nucs I sell have 3 frames with brood(various stages), 2 frames honey/pollen, the queen has been laying for at least 3 wks and the nuc is packed with bees ready to go into a 10 framer. Make your customers happy and you will be happy.

I do about the same, but I would use a frame of pollen next to the open brood.
