Welcome Paul. There must be a story. How did you accidentally become a keeper of bees?

We have a hunting house in upstate and there are two hives in the house. We cant find anyone to come and rescue then so I'm rescuing them.

Clubs are all over upstate NY and hobbyist members love to 'rescue' bees, search for a nearby bee club here:

https://pollinator.cals.cornell.edu/resources/beekeeping-clubs-nys/

If you bring them home don't forget to register the hives with the Dept of Ag and request a inspection for communicable diseases and parasites, last thing LI needs is more failing honey bee colonies.

Welcome, Paul. Best of luck to you in your 'accidental' beekeeping efforts. I have had plenty of accidents myself in the beeyard ;).

Best of success to you in your rescue efforts- are you planning on doing the cut-outs this Summer yet or waiting until next Spring?
