Hey Derek, yeah, back for awhile anyway. And thanks for asking.
Quinn is really doing well. She's in the maintenance mode, and she's reached the point where they only do spinal injections (which requires she gets knocked out for, of course) once every 12 weeks. She's still on daily anti-fungal which she takes herself by mouth in a syringe, but she's grown hair back, she's chubbed up (steroids help with that) and she's so full of energy she wears us all down.
The best day was when she was able to have a regular 4-year-old's birthday party, complete with friends, a jumpy thing, a crazily ornate and overpriced cake that my daughter's boss donated, and general chaos. Very cool.
Only 8 months of official treatment protocol left, so we all feel she's in the home stretch. I'm giving her swimming lessons every Sunday, and she's doing great.
Again, thanks for asking. Hope all's well with your crew. Good to be back.
