It is a 50/50 proposition. sometimes the laying worker is stifled, sometimes she kills the queen.
Best to cut your losses and shake them out. You can try adding a few frames of brood for a couple weeks and see if that will stop the laying worker, Not a guarantee cure but sometimes the pheromones from the brood will shut her down if she is not committed.
