Amusing story: I have mentioned that I tied in cut-out comb with cotton string, which the girls are busy chewing away. Yesterday I saw something odd at the hive and went to investigate. A bee had dragged the end of a piece of string out the front door and was attempting to fly and drag it out, but it was apparently still firmly attached inside. It was like bee-on-a-string, flying with all her might but still tethered to the hive.

At first I was alarmed that she might be stuck to the string, but at one point she let it go and went back for a better grip.

Ah, I am so simply amused.
