I have one hive which has a screened base and a little tray under it that catches debris. Every time I have checked over the past few weeks there are many lacewings. Adults and various instar juveniles.

What are they doing there? I know lacewings eat nectar, pollen, small insects, and insect eggs. Are they stealing the honey and eating bee eggs?
