I found dowels that would fit into the yellow holder, screwed them onto a piece of wood and put them into a frame, then they redesigned the yellow holders to a different size and I can't find a dowel that matches. there are a couple of problems if you try it, the temp/humidity changes in the hive some times cause some to pop off, and they are harder to put on as you really have to push on them to get them on, but the bees don't seem to web them as much as the drop in metal holder.
