I feel like that's a pretty good sign? Good food stores? It was warm this weekend and I saw plenty of ladies coming and going on cleansing flights and some drones hanging out on the landing pad.

Opinions? Usually all the drones get kicked out earlier on to conserve food but I haven't really seen any being kicked out and I'm up there fairly often.

It depends on the hive, but many hives still have drones throughout the season. A lot of them get evicted, but not necessarily all of them!

Glad to see you're bees are still going strong. Spring is nigh!

Don't worry about it Meg. As Mike Palmer has said, "Bees make better beekeepers than beekeepers make bees." In otherwords, they know what they are doing better than we do. Besides, doesn't Brooklyn keep the hive temp moderated by it's thermal mass?
