Up here in the pacific northwest (Vancouver area specifically) the blackberries have been in bloom for a couple weeks (or more?) already. This seems pretty early to me as there are already little green berries starting ... I thought I remembered blackberries not being available normally until the end of the Summer.

Does anyone know how long the blackberry flow lasts for? I'm basically wondering when I can expect a possible "dearth" in my area.

This is the second year in a row that the blackberries in the Pacific Northwest have been a couple of weeks earlier than usual. they are starting to fade now in the Seattle Area....we could certainly get a dearth (relatively speaking) in July-August, a bit earlier than most woud like.

Yes, they were early here also, as with most other blooms as well. Starthistle is early too, it's already blooming here in many areas. Blackberry bloom tends to go for two to three weeks, depending on moisture and temperatures.

About 3 weeks early here in Portland. My blackberries are at 90% done and it is not even July, what are we going to do for the remaining 12 weeks of summer?
