I made up swarm traps last night to put out today and used brood comb that had gotten wet and a little moldy in some of them. Now I’m wondering if that brood comb will be as effective as comb that doesn’t have mold. Does it matter? Thanks.

It should be fine. If it's in a swarm trap with some space, it should dry out and the mold will dissipate.

Absolutely. If the comb is still good (not too old and nice straight brood comb) I will put it in a strong hive. They will clean it up in no time and use it. If it's old brood comb that you just want to get out of circulation then it's perfect for that.

Kamon (Tennessee's Bees) has some utube videos showing some pretty bad moldy comb he puts into hives and they clean it up no problem. He also has some on baiting swarm traps with old comb also.
